Frequently asked questions

Questions families often ask

No. Care at home is about keeping you in control. You decide what help you want and when, and our care workers support you to do as much for yourself as you can. Many people need only a little help to keep living safely and confidently at home.
Every care worker has an enhanced DBS check, references and right-to-work checks before they start. They then complete an induction and the Care Certificate, with ongoing training in areas such as moving and handling, medicines and dementia. We also support our team to gain NVQ qualifications in health and social care.
Yes. We ask about personality, interests, language, culture and faith, and match care workers with these in mind wherever we can. We introduce you before care starts whenever possible.
Tell us. We will talk it through with you and arrange a different care worker wherever we can. Getting the match right matters to us.
Call us or send an enquiry and we will arrange a free home assessment. We then agree a start date with you. We can often help at short notice, for example when someone is coming home from hospital — please call to check availability in your area.
It depends on your situation. Some people pay for their own care, and some have their care funded by their local council or by the NHS. After your free assessment we give you a clear written quote and can explain the options.
Yes. Obatos Care Services Limited is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. You can read our latest rating and inspection report on the CQC website.
