At Obatos Care Services, care is not just a service — it is a responsibility carried by people who show up every day with empathy, professionalism, and heart.
On 18th December 2025, our organization came together for a special Christmas Quality Service Review (QSR) — a moment to reflect, learn, and proudly celebrate the people who make Obatos a trusted care provider across the UK.
This end-of-year gathering brought staff together both online and on-site, reinforcing one clear message: quality care is built by committed people, supported by strong systems and shared values.
Our Foundation: Mission, Vision, and Values in Action
The session was opened by Tony, business manager, who reaffirmed the principles that guide every Obatos service:
- Our Mission: Delivering high-quality, personalised health and social care
- Our Vision: To be the provider of choice, recognised for professionalism, empathy, innovation, and partnership
- Our Values: Dignity, respect, accountability, person-centred care, and continuous improvement
These are not just words—they are reflected daily in how our staff support individuals in their homes and supported living environments.
Learning That Protects Lives: Strengthening Professional Practice
A key part of the QSR focused on learning from a serious incident, delivered as mandatory reflective training. While sensitive, this session reinforced essential professional standards that protect both service users and staff.
Key learning reinforced included:
- Immediate escalation to emergency services when required
- Maintaining calm, professional communication under pressure
- Respecting boundaries while remaining compassionate
- Accurate, factual documentation and reflective practice
This learning strengthens Obatos’ safety culture and ensures our teams are equipped to respond confidently and appropriately in challenging situations.
Operational Excellence: Supporting Staff to Do Their Best Work
Led by Justine (HR & Operations), the QSR reviewed call monitoring, rota compliance, and digital accuracy, ensuring staff are supported and protected through clear systems.
Practical improvements included:
- Clear guidance on responding to call-monitoring queries
- Proper documentation of early finishes or schedule changes
- Introduction of What3Words to improve location accuracy at service user properties
Staff who consistently demonstrate strong compliance and engagement were publicly acknowledged, reinforcing positive practice across the organization.
Staff Recognition & Awards: Celebrating Outstanding Commitment
